Samsung Impression Review

The Samsung Impression SGH A877 is a touch phone designed by Samsung for AT & T. The phone is well designed and is very user friendly and easy to navigate as well. The phone although a bit bulkier than it other touch-cousins offers a great grip. And since the Samsung Impression SGH A877 is a little heavier as well it provides a comfortable and secure feel, not like the other super light flimsy phones that are always on the verge of slipping and falling. The touch screen is the major plus point of this phone. The tactile response is great and is much better a lot of other touch phone that are available in the market. Although the screen is not too big at 3.2 inches, it has adequate space for all the functions. At the bottom of the display are the essential and major shortcuts which prove to be a very convenient feature. You also have the option of adjusting the calibration and intensity of the tactile response according to what suits your needs.

The user interface is very impressive and navigating the menu is a simple task even for first time users. The icons are bold and clear and provide ample space for access even with your fingers. In addition to that you also have the option of conducting a ‘power search’ which enables you to fragment your contacts according to their first letters. Customization is also possible on the Samsung Impression SGH A877 and you can adjust the backlight, font and brightness to what suits your needs. The physical controls are also widely spaced and are easy to use. The phone also has a key on it lateral side which allows you to lock the touch interface which comes in handy whenever you are not using the phone and it is lying in your pocket or bag.

Messaging becomes a breeze with the two ways that are provided to you by the Samsung Impression SGH A877. You can either type your messages on the standard QWERTY keyboard or the virtual keyboard although the latter is the easier option. The shortcut to the T9 dictionary and the presence of the major punctuation marks on the primary keyboard are more than welcome features that make message typing a less tedious job. The physical keys are large and are easy to operate as well. The Samsung Impression SGH A877 has a phonebook that can store up to 2000 contacts with multiple details like postal address, email address, 4 more numbers and notes. In addition to that the SIM card can store up to 250 more contacts, which is quite helpful.

The 3.0 mega pixel camera is pretty impressive too. The picture clarity is great and it also comes with a 20 fun frames and a self timer. The video quality is also quite pleasing although there were a few minor hitches here and there. The call quality is great both on the caller’s and the recipient’s end and the voice quality on the speaker phone is also great. Overall, the Samsung Impression is great phone with good solid features and a sturdy build.
