Sony Ericsson Kurara Review

The Sony Ericsson Kurara has been in the news of late. While the Android based X10 has been in the limelight since the past few weeks, the features of the Kurara ensured that the device is not ignored at all.

New leaked images of what is told to be of the Kurara have been spotted by folks over at Phones.db. As known earlier, the Kurara will be the second Series 60 based phone after the Satio that was launched just a few weeks ago. As best we can tell, the Kurara is an S60-running smartphone with an 8.1 MP camera, like the Rachel.

The interesting facet about the Kurara in this iteration of the leaked images is the HD inscription at the rear of the device. This has led to speculations that the phone will be able to record and playback HD videos. Currently, only the Omnia HD from Samsung (another S60 device) is capable of doing this. Unlike the Rachel, the Kurara's camera is supposed to be able to record in 720p HD. Owing to the multimedia prowess, it might be added to the Entertainment Unlimited range of phones that currently lists the Aino and the Satio.

The Kurara is also rumored to pack an 3.5-inch AMOLED screen, although that's impossible to confirm with the photos we have. Sony Ericsson Kurara is expected to be launched first half of 2010.
